Brian brings over 20 years of software and web industry experience mostly from Silicon Valley and since 2004, Brian's been a proud Wellingtonian.

Since his appointment as CEO in 2007, Brian has led the company by providing vision and experience to a wide range of efforts: core technology direction, technical and process infrastructure, open source adoption, product offerings, and Agile project management that all combine to make SilverStripe hum. In addition, he's the go-to guy for all things grey-hair-corporate-related.

Brian has contributed to and implemented open source CMS products here in New Zealand and in the US. He has led web projects and architected sites since 1995, including government and commercial sites in New Zealand. These days he's more focused on getting SilverStripe's mantra: "Be More Human" out into the world.

Brian has been the main driver behind the Webstock "How do humans win?" and SilverStripe Dawn projects.

Brian helps to ensure SilverStripe stays true to the original vision while providing new vision and leadership as well.

Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from The Ohio State University. He's passionate about cooking, film photography, global economics, and bone-dry humour.
