Internet Blackout

UPDATE: 12 March: One of the main companies that was needed to make this piece of legislation happen has said they won't support it! A TelstraClear representative said, "...we have had unprecedented customer concern and we can't try to make a bad law work." More at the original article.

New Zealand's Internet Blackout is coming.

SilverStripe supports the efforts of the Creative Freedom Foundation and we will show our support very soon... on the morning of Monday 23 February when we black out our .com and .org sites.

Today the CFF on the steps handed over a petition on the steps of Parliament. Heaps of signatures were gathered in just a few days' time, showing the power of grass-roots web organizing. Great job, guys!
