Lakshan Perera

Lakshan hails from Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is studying Information Technology at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Lakshan is passionate about FOSS, web applications, web standards, and web 2.0 culture. He has a blog named LakTEK which contains musings about his life. Lakshan likes to spend his free time reading and listening to RnB music.
Passion makes the Code perfect.
Lakshan applied to the Google Summer of Code for the first time in 2007. He wanted to work on a project which matched his passions and skills. "I found SilverStripe and really loved their spirit and enthusiasm. I felt it would be the best place to work in GSoC and ended up applying only to SilverStripe."
The focus of Lakshan's project is to enable building mashups in SilverStripe, mentored by Matt Peel. He is looking forward to working with SilverStripe in the summer and beyond.
