Site purpose

Merge Communications developed an entirely new way for New Zealand businesses to use telephony - broadband Voice-Over-IP (VOIP). SilverStripe worked with Merge to develop the website that is the focal point of their business.

What we did

  • We created a site that lets people learn about Merge services, sign up, and manage their accounts online.
  • We integrated the system with the New Zealand telephone network (PSTN), online payment systems, and back-end billing systems.
  • We let Merge to manage customers and accounts through administrative tools with a great degree of control.
  • We automated common processes such as sending out invoices, or automatically disconnecting users when they have a negative prepay balance.

What users can do now

  • Users research options and sign up online.
  • Merge customers review billing history, pay, and change their billing plan.
  • Merge customers get automatic email invoices and overdue account email reminders.
  • Merge customers review their phone usage history quickly, easily, and without delays.
  • Merge customers order and pay for phone handsets online.
