E-Commerce Made Affordable
Site Purpose
Perweek is one of the world's first online retailers that allows consumers to buy products through hire purchase. Customers can purchase goods from computers and electronics to furniture and sports equiment on the online store, and pay them off weekly over a fixed amount of time. They can choose a payment plan that suits their needs by choosing a downpayment that's affordable for them, and specifying the terms of repayment. A dynamic calculator tells them instantaneously what their weekly rates will be. Alternatively, buyers can choose to pay in full via credit card and internet banking.
What We Did
- Built a highly interactive calculator where buyers can see their weekly costs based on different variables such as downpayment and length of term.
- Created a simple user interface that shows buyers the total cost of financing, visualised by coffee cups which illustrate the weekly cost using a familiar metaphor.
- Integrated the site with financial organisations to perform credit checks and online payment.
- Integrated the site with the various suppliers of goods to check products' availability.
