Sigurd Magnusson is one of three co-founders of SilverStripe and now leads the marketing initiative of SilverStripe. He's been living and breathing the internet since 1995 when the Wellington City Council provided the region’s only internet service, then entirely text-based. This potential of the internet spurred his highly technical interest and saw him learn computer programming and the technologies that form the internet.
Sigurd's strong technical ability and good people skills add a valuable perspective to the SilverStripe triumverate. While less involved now with programming, his deep interest and experience with all things technical has made him extremely useful and regarded in project scoping, management and review. Having used Linux and open source software since high school, he continues to oversee SilverStripe's development and production servers.
Sigurd is an evangelist for improving the standards of websites and joined the committee of the Wellington’s web standards group, Webstock, in 2006. He sees huge potential and reason for improving the quality of websites from major government portals downs to minute SME websites. Sigurd also spent several years on the committee of Unlimited Potential, Wellingtons largest IT network.
I do get a lot of email and calls, but if you have something important to say...
