Tom joined SilverStripe in May 2009. His flourishing development career began humbly, with coding in the early hours of the morning before his school bus arrived. Jump forward a few years, and Tom is now a Zend Certified Engineer with lashings of experience from working in exciting start-up environments.
Tom's efforts are mainly focused on the PHP and mySQL backend of SilverStripe. Along with server-side development, he also enjoys coding client-side JavaScript.
Tom is known for his uncontrollable impulse to keep up to date with the latest news, information, and product releases. If you see a ‘Tom Rix’ in the wild, he is likely to be either inhaling cheeseburgers or living in an alternate reality under his headphones.
